4. Schedule Classroom Visit
– Day Visit for grades Kindergarten through 12th grade
– Primer Group Observation Time & Readiness Assessment
5. Complete an Academic Assessment (for each grade above Primer)

Primer & Kinder Admissions Process

Application

Complete application and submit to the admissions office with a $100 application fee. If you are re-applying, contact the admissions office to reactivate the application. A completed application packet includes:

Teacher Recommendation(s)

If your child is in an organized program or daycare setting, we ask that you give the Teacher Recommendation for Incoming Primer Students to your child’s current teacher(s) or daycare provider(s). Because the form is confidential, teachers are to return it directly to Kirby Hall. If your child is not in one of these settings, the teacher recommendation is not necessary. If this is the case, kindly email the admissions office at admissions@kirbyhall.org so that we can note this on the application.

Primer Observation

For Primer student applicants, once the above steps have been completed, a visitation day will be scheduled to enjoy playtime in the Primer classroom. This observation may include a small group of other applicants as well and typically is held on a Saturday.

Kinder Assessment

For Kinder student applicants, once the above steps have been completed, an assessment will be scheduled to determine kindergarten readiness. An optional visitation day may also be scheduled.

Grades 1-5 Admissions Process

Application

After completion of the above steps, a day visit will be scheduled for your child. On your child’s day visit, please drop him/her off at the front office by 8 a.m. The day concludes at 3:20. Your child will be assigned a buddy for the day. Kindly have your child bring a lunch.

Kindly schedule the academic assessment with the admissions office. We are available during regular school hours and on Saturdays.
