Part-Time Art Position

We are seeking a passionate and qualified Fine Arts Teacher to join our faculty at a

small private school conveniently located within walking distance of the University of

Texas at Austin. As a Fine Art Teacher, you will play a crucial role in fostering

creativity, self-expression, and artistic skills among our students in grades Pre-K

through 8th grade.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fine Art, Art Education, or Art related field (Master’s

degree preferred)

  • Teaching certification is a plus
  • Previous teaching experience, preferably in K-8 education.
  • Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and contemporary art

practices.

  • Excellent communications, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Passion for working with children and fostering a love for art.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop engaging and comprehensive lesson plans tailored to each grade

level.

  • Teach fundamental art techniques and concepts, including drawing,

painting, and sculpture.

  • Post lesson plans weekly on the school’s online Renweb portal.
  • Provide guidance and constructive feedback to students to help them

improve their artistic abilities.

  • Assess student progress and support opportunities for artistic growth.
  • Create a safe and organized classroom environment that promotes

creativity and self-expression.

  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to integrate art into cross-

curricular projects and events.

  • Recognize and appreciate each child’s unique approach to art, providing

support and guidance as needed to nurture their love and understanding of

art.
