3rd Grade’s Native American Diorama Presentations
Our 3rd graders were studying “The Earliest Americans” in their history unit. For their big project, they each hand-made a diorama based on the Native American tribe they were assigned. Students had two weeks to gather their materials and work at home, during art, and history class, to create a scene that depicted a day in the life of the particular tribe or nation they were assigned. After the 3rd graders built their dioramas, they presented to the class about the tribe they had studied.
This hands-on assignment allowed the students to explore history in a creative way by supplementing to classroom reading and videos. This project allowed them to understand what life was like before the European explorers arrived to America during the 15th century.
Below are some of the incredible dioramas. Great job 3rd grade on your unique and informative presentations!
